Spring seems to be the busy season for arts education – or at least for me! I am booked quite solidly through May. This is a wonderful time of year, in that I get to meet many new kids and together we create wonderful plays. It is also Fine Arts Fund Campaign time, so I've been busy manning tables and telling the world about ETC, our productions, our volunteer opportunities, and our education programs. Here's a photo from the Get Smart About Art Festival at Music Hall. This cutie was thrilled with his Billy Goats Gruff finger puppets!
Yet, as the cold weather begins to give up its grip on all of us here in Cincinnati, we at the theatre begin to look forward to a string of lighter shows – full of laughter and great performances. I look forward to teachers who are less harried at the thoughts of tests, and students who are joyous at the idea of being able to head outside to play. Between now and the end of May, I am currently scheduled to put together 5 orginial shows with my classes. Wish me luck!
